Time and Place

The PDS Technical Session will be held: 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Monday September 20, 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Tuesday September 21, 9:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. Wednesday September 22. All sessions will be held in Conference Room (xxx) Caltech 1200 E. California Blvd., Pasadena, CA 91125.

Access to Meeting

Once you arrive at JPL security gate, the security guard will guide you to the visitor parking area. Cross the street from the visitor parking area, register at JPL Visitor Center. Either Dan or Emily will be there to escort you to the meeting. Dan’s cell phone is (818) 653-5363 and Emily’s is (818) 667-5535 should anyone has any problems.

Meals

Coffee/tea and refreshments will be available for 3 days. There are also soft drink and snack vending machines in the building and cafeterias where they serve lunch. A group dinner will be held at TBD. IL Fornaio Italian Restaurant located at 24 West Union Street, Pasadena, CA 91103 (626)683-9797.

Weather

Internet Access

You may bring a laptop to the meeting.

The JPL Guest Internet access uses DHCP so you do not need to know a specific address. Your laptop must be configured to use DHCP. There are no restrictions on the JPL Guest Internet access.

The wireless Network Name (SSID) is broadcasted: JPLGuestInternet. It will be available in the meeting room. To log on: Open a web browser and go to any JPL external web site. You will be redirected to a Terms of Service page before you can continue. You must read the Terms of Service and click the Agree button.

Restrictions apply to use of the JPL Guest Internet service include: Users cannot access resources on the JPL Intranet, although they can connect to the JPL public web site (https://www.jpl.nasa.gov) and the MeetingPlace web site (http://meetingplace.jpl.nasa.gov). In addition, they cannot use the JPL mail (smtp) server for sending e-mail. Therefore, we recommend that visitors launch the corporate VPN client to access e-mail services.
