Hardware issues

• Be aware of JPL lab-wide email problems sometimes resulting in multiple hour- to day-long delays; JPL staff aware of problem and working on it
• PDS EN servers being moved from one building to another and assigned new IP address; delays resulting from time to update DNS routers

1. SCR status:

• SCR3-1127: Pointer/Object Ambiguity in the Standards Reference
  WG: T. King (lead), M. Cayanan, L. Huber, S. Hughes, R. Joyner
  • Elizabeth says it looks ready for a vote. Putting it out for two weeks discussion followed by a vote.

• SCR3-1141: Increase DATA_QUALITY_ID to 16 characters
  WG: R. Chen (lead), E. Rye
  • Working group needs to update SCR and distribute again. (Include new info from Richard and address problem in Standards Reference with sample of DATA_QUALITY_ID for local data dictionaries.)

• SCR3-1145: PSDD Filename Length Clean-Up
  WG: S. Slavney (lead), M. Gordon, R. Joyner, E. Rye
  • determine why 120 (Ron and Mitch agreed)
  • is this a VTool or volume validation function?
  • Talk to Sean's team about where validation of actual file names (and presence of detached data files) should occur, if not in VTool.
  • Susie will update Impact section to note that validation of filename length is not occurring (impact on PDS tools) (E. Rye will pass information onto Sean. Sean will report back on when and where it will be done.)
  • Rye will send SCR v2 out for 2 week comment period followed by e-vote

• SCR3-1146: Update reference format to handle DOIs

  • vote was held; figure out what happened

• SCR3-1150: Change minimum value for detector_temperature
  WG: R. Chen (lead), E. Rye
  • need another working group volunteer
  • Recommend changing new minimum to -273. (E. Rye)
  • Group disagreed; suggestion instead was to have VTool check for unit specifier and issue a WARNING rather than an ERROR
  • SCR not supported as written because -273 and Kelvin default shouldn't go together.
