  • T. King has done an initial assessment of PDF/A as a document format. The plan is to bring that before TG for evaluation and then determine whether or not to proceed with the SCR. So far, the working group is fairly happy with the assessment but not everyone on WG had time to test it out.

• SCR 3-1137: Correct Typos and Similar Errors in the APG and PAG

  • D. Simpson says there are roughly eight corrections in the APG and five in PAG which need to be fixed.
  • These corrections are primarily typographical in nature (extraneous hyphens, case corrections, etc.), with a few exceptions that are potentially more controversial.
  • In the APG, section 3.2.1.2.c, the keyword OFFSET is included but SCALING_FACTOR is not. Recommendation: include SCALING_FACTOR
  • In APG, figure 3.2.1.2.c, seven keywords are listed which are neither "required" nor "optional" in an IMAGE object definition. Recommendation: remove them.
  • In APG, section 3.2.2, the example was changed from an Asteroid Comet Flyby mission to MER; however, the surrounding text was not correctly updated so the text is inconsistent with the example. Recommendation: change it back to AFCR.
  • In PAG, section 6.4, there is awkward wording. Recommendation: clena it up.
  • It was decided that Dick would talk to Reta and Mike and get their approval for these changes. Then we would present the changes in this SCR to the TG for a vote. Finally, the changes from this SCR and 3-1118 would be presented together to the MC for approval.

• SCR 3-1138: Assign keywords to IMAGE_MAP_PROJECTION object

  • Lien: In the 7th line of the description, change "essentially to reduce data redundancy" to "to reduce redundancy". (i.e., drop "essentially" and "data")
  • Lien: In the 10th and 12th lines of the description, change "reside" to "resides".
  • Lien: In the 17th line of the description, drop "it" in "shifted or flipped prior to it being..."
  • Lien: In the 21st line of the description, drop "Archive Quality" and set "Data Product Label" to lower case.
  • In Appendix B.14 of the Standards Reference, add the list of optional keywords. Update the text to reflect Chris' changes (if easy, or if not leave alone).
  • Susie Slavney will make the changes.

2. Further issues

• It was requested that at the next telecon we finish prioritizing the list of SCRs
• M. Gordon has requested E. Rye send out updated table of SCRs
• Before start of day Tuesday (05/27) provide comments on PDS3 SCR criteria on blog
• MC face-to-face will be just after the July 4th holiday; we need to think about this with respect to prioritizing our work
