Telecon Discussions:
1. SCR status:
- SCR 3-1098: Movies as new data object
WG: E. Rye (lead), S. Adams, R. Early, P. Garcia, L. Huber, S. Hughes, C. Neese, D. Simpson
- Several nodes have expressed the opinion that this SCR is not a high priority. E. Rye has passed this on to D. Crichton. This issue will be determined at the MC level.
- SCR 3-1099: Add movies as acceptable document formats
WG: E. Rye (lead), S. Adams, R. Early, P. Garcia, L. Huber, S. Hughes, C. Neese, D. Simpson
- (Same as for 3-1098, although some feel this SCR should move forward, unlike 3-1098.)
- SCR 3-1118: Add ICD, SISes to Volume Documentation in StdRef
WG: E. Rye (lead), D. Simpson, S. Slavney, R. Joyner
- Working group met; D. Simpson took action item to determine impact of change to PAG and APG; wants to create new document "DDD".
- SCR 3-1119: Distinguish Required and Optional keywords vs Projection in IMAGE_MAP_PROJECTION
WG: C. Isbell (lead), M. Cayanan, P. Garcia, E. Rye
- not discussed
- SCR 3-1124: PSDD Enhancement --- add Case to keywords of type CHARACTER
WG: R. Joyner (lead), M. Cayanan, L. Huber, T. King, E. Rye, D. Simpson
- Working group met and made progress.
- R. Joyner took an action item to re-write the SCR again.
- SCR 3-1126: Multiple occurences of the same keyword in an object - Valid or Not?
WG: A. Raugh (lead), M. Cayanan, L. Huber, S. Hughes, T. King, D. Simpson
- no update
- SCR 3-1127: Pointer/Object Ambiguity in the Standards Reference
WG: A. Raugh (lead), M. Cayanan, L. Huber, S. Hughes, R. Joyner
- no update
- (4:30) SCR 3-1129: Add .FIT and .FTS as reserved extensions in Table 10.1 of StdRef
WG: E. Rye (lead), C. Neese, B. Sword
- Currently out for an e-vote; four nodes have voted.
- E. Rye will send reminder to nodes that haven't yet voted.
- SCR 3-1130: Update LINE_ and SAMPLE_DISPLAY_DIRECTION
WG: E. Rye (lead), M. Cayanan, B. Sword
- E. Rye explained to A. Raugh how conflict can arise if only one keyword is present and it uses a value that conflicts with the default value of the keyword that is not present. A long discussion followed on why and when deafult values are used (and which keyword in the element definition templates is used to populate them). It was recognized that with the exception of populating templates in interfaces like the label design tool, the main purpose of this keyword is to provide default values to be used by software for keywords that should have been required but aren't.
- After discussion, A. Raugh said she didn't have any objection to going ahead with the modifications.
- SCR 3-1131 Fix bad OBJECT_CLASSIFICATION_TYPEs in PSDD
WG: E.Rye (lead)
- D. Simpson has expressed his opinion that this should be dealt with as an internal EN issue, not as a standards SCR. E. Rye asked if others felt the same way. Those present did.
- E. Rye asked for formal "REJECT" votes. SBN: reject, ATM: reject, EN: reject
- E. Rye took an action item to get two more reject votes from other nodes in order to withdraw these SCRs.
- SCR 3-1132 Fix bad GENERAL_CLASSIFICATION_TYPE values in PSDD
WG: E.Rye (lead)
- (Same as for 3-1131.)
- SCR 3-1133 Fix bad SYSTEM_CLASSIFICATION_ID values in PSDD
WG: E.Rye (lead)
- Since this SCR was never filed, and it fits the same broad category as 3-1131 and 3-1132, E. Rye will not file it.
