- no update
- From follow-on working group meeting:
- R. Joyner, E. Rye, and D. Simpson present
- Group attempted to re-construct history of status of SCR.
- At a working group meeting back in October, the WG decided that rather than simply modifying the PSDD to specify upper vs lower case for keyword values of type CHARACTER, we should go the whole way and provide a complete character specification for every keyword value. This should be done with a new SCR. This one was to be parked until that one was resolved. If the new SCR satisfactorily dealt with the problem, then this SCR could be discontinued.
- At the following Standards Telecon, L. Huber said that this wasn't consistent with his memory of the meeting. He then argued that he thought it made more sense to hard code these rules and exceptions into software than into the PSDD. We agreed as a group to consult the programmers on the approach that they would prefer.
- R. Joyner then talked to S. Hardman and M. Cayanan who said that they would prefer an external specification, rather than one internal to the software. However, R. Joyner felt that he was not able to fairly argue L. Huber's point and wanted him to have the opportunity to present his position to the programmers.
- The current action is to get together a working group telecon and to invite the programmers to participate in order to dialogue with them as a group.
- SCR 3-1126: Multiple occurences of the same keyword in an object - Valid or Not?
WG: A. Raugh (lead), M. Cayanan, L. Huber, S. Hughes, T. King, D. Simpson
- no update
- SCR 3-1127: Pointer/Object Ambiguity in the Standards Reference

- need to solve 1126 before this one
- SCR 3-1129: Add .FIT and .FTS as reserved extensions in Table 10.1 of StdRef
